  2. As for fatness in America, I think a major problem is the quality of the food. It was kinda bad when producers put processed sugar in foods, but then it was brought to another level altogether when high-fructose corn syrup started being incorporated on a large scale into many foods. The human boday has a hard time dealing with that stuff and so it is a good idea to limit intake of it or avoid it completely.

Anyway, the main topic should be Celente's interview. So much of the information rings true. I hope that Obama's people have it right and manage to maneuver the American economy through this mess, but I'd like to hedge my bets on that happening.

My only criticism of the interview is that I wish Celente had spoken about investing in silver and agricultural commodities.

  4. You only gave up the car because the tires exploded when you sat in it.

  5. FatNSassy, excessive weight is not due to stress or lack of sleep, but to destroyed metabolism. You the Americans are a nation, mixed of all races and nations: there are facts the geneticists will never tell you – about the genetic incompatibility between races. The results of this genetic incompatibility are the auto-immune diseases. Obesity is caused by poor production of enzymes just because of this destroyed metabolism. See which are the nations that are healthier and live more – the Japanese, the Tibetans . Because of their geographic isolation they are less racially mixed.

  6. To FatNAssy. You are indeed a laughing stock in the stockyard feedlot. The subject was about Celente not about your weight problem…and a problem it is since you want to use an inappropriate forum to talk about it.–Bima

  7. They've already started America down the diet path. Hiding grocery inflation has become a game of package downsizing. Yogurt comes in a shot glass sized container now, and try to find a pound of coffee. These paper money advocates will stop at nothing to keep people believing in their product, including precious metal price suppression on comex, calculating cpi sans food and energy, and now, outright purchasing of US treasuries by the Fed. Think about that, then imagine some fat banker feigning righteous indignation at the very idea of perception management by your money masters. Makes me sick.

  8. Fat people are generally ugly to me. They are hardworking too but not hard enough to lose their fats.

  9. I have lost respect for Celente with his comment that we are the "laughing stock" of the world because of our "weight problem." And then implying that is the reason why we are not productive. In the first place, that the U.S. is the fattest nation in the world is a marketing tactic. Australia and Canada tells its citizens the same thing. (If you don't believe me, google Canada, Australia fattest nation!) And the U.S. worker is VERY productive, some of the hardest working in the world with the shortest vacation time. Not coincidentally overwork, stress, and lack of sleep can make people gain weight. As does crash dieting. As a sociologist who has researched fat stigma for decades, I find such attitudes inexcusable coming from educated people. And as a healthy beautiful fat woman who gave up her car years ago and walks several miles a day, well lets just say I wouldn't trade my body for Gerald's for all the gold in the word.
