  2. Just leave me and my health choices the hell alone. I don't want to be forced into healthcare that is useless anyway. Western medicine is a death sentence. Pharmaceutical companies care about profit only, they don't want you healthy.

  5. If you want John Dingell and others like him out, you’re going to have to take them out yourself. Nobody else will lift a finger. They’re all waiting on the second coming of Christ, or Batman, or McGyver or …

  6. Amazingly free of any substance, but chock-full of innuendo. The guest himself said it: He would like the same plan that Congress has. Yes. Single Payer for the whole country. Think about it: His son would not be covered by a private insurance plan. He WOULD BE COVERED by single payer. EVERYONE IS COVERED UNDER SINGLE PAYER. Don't listen to the lies.

Myth: Canada’s health care system is a cumbersome bureaucracy.
Fact: The U.S. has the most bureaucratic health care system in the world. More than 31 percent of every dollar spent on health care in the U.S. goes to paperwork, overhead, CEO salaries, profits, etc. The provincial single-payer system in Canada operates with just a 1 percent overhead. Think about it. It is not necessary to spend a huge amount of money to decide who gets care and who doesn’t when everybody is covered.

Myth: The Canadian system is significantly more expensive than that of the U.S.
Fact: Ten percent of Canada’s GDP is spent on health care for 100 percent of the population. The U.S. spends 17 percent of its GDP but 15 percent of its population has no coverage whatsoever and millions of others have inadequate coverage. In essence, the U.S. system is considerably more expensive than Canada’s. Part of the reason for this is uninsured and underinsured people in the U.S. still get sick and eventually seek care. People who cannot afford care wait until advanced stages of an illness to see a doctor and then do so through emergency rooms, which cost considerably more than primary care services.

What the American taxpayer may not realize is that such care costs about $45 billion per year, and someone has to pay it. This is why insurance premiums increase every year for insured patients while co-pays and deductibles also rise rapidly.

  7. Glad you left Farang…..was your meds for VD? How do you like living in a country where the average native person is so poor that 200 baht is well beyond their means. Live like a King there do ya? Bet you would still be in the States if you had enough money to be one of the corrupt blood sucking tics we have in congress. And, you ain't in Thailand, your just another lazy liberal who believes that there is such a thing as a free lunch. Well, there ain't such a thing and I'm dammed tired of paying for your lunch. Get a real job and get off of the taxpayers tit. You're just another Obama minion and public forum troll…

  8. Who the heck is writing all of these constitution busting bills that have been signed since 2001? I want individual names and who they are affiliated with. I am writing my traitorous representative and demanding the names of the authors of all of these bills: PATRIOT Act, Homeland Security Act, Military Commissions Act, John Warner National Defense Authorization Act, etc. ad nauseum. Everyone should be asking that question.

  9. Simply put, Single Payer health care is the IDEAL "model" for insuring the USA (and all other countries.. For some odd reason, which is unfathomable to me, some like to espouse it "takes away my choice."

B.S. Don't want inexpensive, readily available health care, even if it would be too costly otherwise?

Then CHOOSE not to use it, and go ahead and PAY the doctor of your choice. Me? I now live in Chiangmai, Thailand, after my family has lived in US since the late 1600's. THE LATE 1600's.

There is a hospital across the street from me. I have visited it once for symptoms of food poisoning. Got to see a pleasant doctor, got examined, received a prescription, was directed to cashier window. Paid $6.00 (200 baht), then was handed my medicine.

And if I did not like that care? There are 7 other hospitals to CHOOSE from if I so desire, and I am a US citizen.

You fools are clowns, and pawns of health insurance CEO's and execs.

BE SURE you preserve their "right" to deny you care if it would affect their bonuses, okay?

    NITWITS.

  11. They'd better be careful who they harrass, most Americans I know are extremely fed up, extremely well armed and have extremely vicious dogs trained to protect them.

The days of our representatives – and I use that term lightly – getting away with not reading bills, representing corporations instead of the people and ingoring us is OVER.

  12. That Dingell, is one smug bastard. Sending thugs to take care of a parent and his disabled son is typical of these types of politicians. Starting now, these politicians will have to lay low and start using body guards. The body guards won't accept IOU's though, when the country defaults in October. 50 years in Congress? Time for a recall.

  13. All central governments and politicians are corrupt. They have been feeding off the hard labour and taxes of common folk and now want to dump those who cannot defend themselves. What happened to liberty, justice and humanity?
